Cute little machine built in France to suit ages 16 to 60+. It’s got all the usual features including a helmet bay. A nice cheap bike from a name that you know will still be around in five years time. Our test suggested that this machine offers fair value for money. Available with various incentives including, currently, free TPO insurance subject to status and availability.

MBK’s feet-forward luxury 125 shares everything but its name with Yamaha’s Majesty 125. Despite the scooter’s length, weight, and seat height, it is still very manoeuvrable. Dual piston Brembo callipers head a list of quality European components used, and rear disc brake adds to the stopping power. Well worth a test ride. (Tested as Yamaha Majesty T&G 2) & T&G 6.

Exactly the same as the Yamaha Maxster, the MBK badged Thunder is both a sporty scoot and conservative commuter. The 124kg weight is stopped by a disc brake at either end, and it handles pretty well. Buy while stocks last. Available from MBK dealers with Free Datatag security, and currently free TPO insurance too, subject to status and availability. Tested T&G 5.

‘Sports Utility’ scooter from MBK. ‘All new’ 300cc four-stroke motor based on the Yamaha 250 lump, in actual fact the 264cc engine doesn’t actually give any more grunt than it’s based on. Weighing in at 164kg the non-cruiser design of the Kilibre together with an upright riding position should help it cut through rush-hour jams like a knife through hot butter. Tested T&G 26.

Sporty looks, liquid-cooled motor, disc brakes front and rear. The Nitro has a lot going for it. It wasn’t long before the MBK version succumbed to a race rep. The patriotic Jaguar F1 team no less. Available from all good dealers, with some tempting packages on offer to win your cash, currently free TPO insurance too, subject to status and availability. Tested T&G 12.
