The KYMCO Xciting 500 is no featherweight, yet once on the move little in the way of bulkiness is felt. This is attributable to the clever design and the way everything of any size is slung low down in the chassis. The overall size, created mainly by the large fairing and screen, is lost too once sat on it. The seat is a mere 780mm off the ground, enabling an easy two-footed contact with the tarmac and the impressive stance the bike has disappears below you somehow. Extremely well-built scoot and definatly worth considering.

The Classic SL by Bajaj Auto of India has slowly evolved from the Italian Vespa that was produced by them under licence. Whilst not as elegant or sophisticated as its European counterpart, this is reflected in the price. Auto lube and electric start do however both feature on the new Classic. Cheap and cheerful scootering, although decent tyres would improve it further.
