From Fosti in China comes the FT125-20 which bears a striking resemblance to the Kymco Spacer/Dink. Powered by a four-stroke engine with a disc brake at the front (rear drum operated by floor pedal), it also boasts a remote control start and an alarm/immobiliser. This scoot comes with a 12 months or 6000km warranty.

The latest offering from Kangda is this fine (almost sporty) looking scooter. Features include a hydraulic front disc and a rev. counter, although we have yet to be convinced of the latter's usefulness on an automatic scooter. The sports look is continued with alloy wheels, a 'hugger' type mudguard and stone-guard for the headlamp. 12 month/6000km warranty.

MANUFACTURERS DESCRIPTION: Fitted as standard on the Executive version, the sophisticated ABS-PBS braking system, combining Integrated braking + Power-assistance + ABS, outclasses every other competing scooter on the market by offering total rider safety and an astounding reduction in braking distances. This makes major impact in difficult conditions: poor road traction, changes in road surface, and situations many riders generally cannot handle.
The Executive version is also fitted with an Abus security chain which is anchored to the chassis of the bike within the storage compartment, and can be used to secure the bike to a railing or lamppost.

Unlike the rest of Motoroma’s ‘RoadRunner’ range, not only does the 125 version look different, but it’s actually made by a different company in a different country. Cheaper than many 50cc ‘peds this 125 includes heated handlebar grips, glovebox, underseat storage, and in my opinion, better styling than some of the rest of the RoadRunner range. Reviewed T&G 12.

The C1 has been shown to be safe enough for most countries to sanction its use without a helmet. Not here though, where it loses its main attraction. People will buy the C1 just for that badge.
