A Chinese scooter that undercuts all in its class, in fact this is the only 125cc scooter out of China that is liquid cooled. Not a bad looking scooter. Top box is standard as is an alarm.

A fine looking cheapie from Sym that’s looks and feels sturdy enough to last the pace. Based on their old Shark scoot the Euro MX also features a rim-mounted front disc brake. It’s basic but it has everything from helmet bay to curry hook, and suggests great VFM for the commuter wanting a 125 for less than two grand. Tested T&G 18.

New from SYM, and replacing the dated Attila is the Megalo. Curvey lines suggest that the scoot will prove popular to a wide spectrum of riders as it once again shows the Asian company’s pursuit of modern Western styling. It also offers the usual under seat storage, a legshield storage area, and a rear grab rail. The recent price cut (£100) will no doubt help it sell well.

MBK’s feet-forward luxury 125 shares everything but its name with Yamaha’s Majesty 125. Despite the scooter’s length, weight, and seat height, it is still very manoeuvrable. Dual piston Brembo callipers head a list of quality European components used, and rear disc brake adds to the stopping power. Well worth a test ride. (Tested as Yamaha Majesty T&G 2) & T&G 6.
